I'm glad to hear that it all went so well.
Even more happy that most of you made it home alive and well.

Ok, now that I've caught up on only SOME of the sleep I missed.....here goes?.

We got in on Tuesday afternoon and headed straight for the showroom to see how Steve was doing and if he needed any help. Steve had it pretty much under control (as usual).

The place looked fantastic just as it was, but it was far from finished. It needed to be perfect by Thursday morning because the local tv station was doing a story about the grand opening.

Even though Steve, being the type of guy he is, didn?t want to put us to work, we hounded him until he finally relented somewhat. That being said, we never made it back to the hotel any earlier that 11:00, and usually A LOT later!

Without boring you with the particulars, it was finished in time. (As if I ever had any doubts!)

One of the coolest things was when Todd popped into the showroom for a walk-through and getting to talk to him in a regular environment. (BTW, he found almost NOTHING wrong with it!)

Then a day or so after that, we were in the lobby of the hotel with Steve and Chris when Todd pulls up to drop off Greg Capullo! We all B.S.ed a while, then Greg said good night and went inside. (Man, it just keeps getting? better!)

Friday was ?media day? so we stayed away from the madness and drove up to Sedona. I cannot believe how beautiful it was. Anyway, Donna and I just came out of a shop, and I look over and see Chaser and Cook! What are the odds?.

Anyway, back at McFarlane Central, Friday night came and the only thing that had to be done was EVERYTHING!
Not really, but there WAS a lot to do. The tents were being put up, tables were put in place, the Spawnmobile and Sam & Twitch?s Crimemobile had to be set up?.

We were back at 6:00 AM bright and early on Saturday (well, maybe not too bright?) to finish up. Chaser and I helped stock the retail area, and we ended up working there too! (Which is also the reason that all of my photos were taken with my wife?s film camera They?ll be posted after they?re developed and scanned.)

What a BLAST! We got to meet Wanda, Todd?s father Bob, and Todd?s brother as well. When it was over, I was beat, but too excited to care!

I have to thank ALL the folks at McFarlane for letting us hang around (meaning: WORK!) while this controlled chaos was going on all around us.

Al Simmons: You may be Spawn, but you?re a HELL of a nice guy.
Carmen: for the ?tourist tips?! They helped make a great trip even better! (and the staff badges were really cool!)
Eric: (and the rest of the ?warehouse guys?) for letting us play ?McFarlane employee? for a day. I hope we were more of a help than a hindrance.
Jon and Dion: I was great to FINALLY meet you both in person.

Todd: for never forgetting that it?s all about the fans.

And lastly, but most importantly, Thanks and love to my wife Donna for going on this ?vacation? and working as hard as you did. It wouldn?t have been nearly as great if you hadn?t been here.
